As usual, WhatsApp decides to discontinue updates for various mobile phone models every month. September will be no exception, so owners of the following brands should consider moving their information to another device. The most affected models this time are mainly Samsung, iPhone, Huawei, Sony, and LG. Starting September 1, the popular social network will no longer run on these devices. WhatsApp was blunt when it explained that any device with an operating system lower than Android OS 4.1 or iOS 12 will be excluded from its services.
As is the case every month, clarifications are being sought regarding the exclusion of multiple models. The Help Center for the network in question explains that the devices on the list "may not have the latest security updates. They also do not have the required functionality to run WhatsApp."
WhatsApp will "delete" these models starting in September.
