The Panamanian Embassy in Cuba clarifies the financial solvency requirement.

This Tuesday, our website received several inquiries about the financial solvency requirement for traveling to Panama with a tourist visa.

Interested persons wanted to know if they could have the equivalent of 500 US dollars in national currency in bank accounts in Cuba or CUP.

Panamanian immigration law establishes that proof of financial solvency must be presented in USD.The Cuban government allows bank transfers.

You must present a USD bank card and a USD bank certificate indicating the opening date, currency type, and account number. You must also present a bank statement.

Having clarified this point, we would like to remind you that last August the embassy itself warned that "currently There are no appointments for visa interviews at the Panamanian Consulate in Cuba except those processed by lawyers in Panama..
