Next Social Security payment will be today

The Social Security Administration (SSA) continues to send payments for the month of September. Only a few hours remain until a new group of beneficiaries receive their expected income.

Indeed, as early as next Wednesday, September 10, a new Social Security payment will be issued in the United States. This time, the deposits will reach millions of retirees, people with disabilities, and surviving families.

The SSA will thus continue as scheduled for this month. This will, in turn, directly benefit many families who rely on this money to cover their daily expenses.

As is known, the payment schedule is fixed, and the exact amount each person will receive is unique. However, the sums are not equal for everyone. They are determined by each individual's work history and, recently, by the 2.5% Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) that went into effect this year.

September payment schedule

This is the official Social Security payment schedule for the remainder of the month.

-People born between the 1st and the 10th of any month receive their pay on the second Wednesday. In September, it falls on the 10th.

-Wednesday, September 17: for those born between the 11th and the 20th.

-Wednesday, September 24: for those born between the 21st and the 31st.

For beneficiaries who retire at age 67, as well as those born in 1960 or later, the maximum amount available is $4,018 USD.

Finally, you should know that if a worker postpones retirement until age 70, they will receive a higher benefit. They would then earn $5,108 USD per month.

The SSA recommends keeping track of your monthly payment schedule to better manage your finances. You'll also be able to know exactly when you'll receive your income.
