Dengue, chikungunya, and Zika are spreading simultaneously in many parts of the country. Experts warn that until the vector is eliminated, outbreaks and cases where a single patient may present symptoms of more than one disease at the same time will continue.

In recent weeks, numerous outbreaks have been reported in neighborhoods of Havana, Holguín, Santiago de Cuba and Villa Clara, where medical services face high demand and a shortage of resources.
Health authorities urge citizen cooperation in eliminating mosquito breeding grounds and urging people to seek immediate medical attention for any fever or skin rash, especially in children and the elderly.
