Miami International Airport (MIA) is preparing to offer a completely new experience to travelers with the arrival of this new service that promises convenience and privacy within the airport itself. Under the "Wait N' Rest" brand, this innovative concept arrives in Miami after having been successfully implemented in airports in Europe and Asia, adapting to the growing pace of tourism and the long international connections that characterize South Florida.
These private rooms, according to the the press local, will be strategically located at two key points of the MIA: one on the third floor of Concourse D (North Terminal) and another in Concourse H (South Terminal).
Each room, approximately 3.1 square meters (34 square feet), will be equipped with soundproof walls, air conditioning, electrical connection, free Wi-Fi, and a personalized climate control system, designed to maximize comfort amidst airport traffic.
The spaces include a bed or sofa, clean linens, and a fully automated check-in and check-out system, allowing passengers to rest without complications or long waits.
Additionally, some double rooms are anticipated to be available for couples or families, including private showers, bathrooms, desks, televisions with streaming services, and 24-hour access.
The service plans to open its first location in the North Terminal at the end of November, while the second location, in the South Terminal, will follow weeks later.
As for pricing, rates will be competitive compared to similar options at international airports: around $36 per hour for a single room and around $60 per hour for a double room.
With this addition, Miami International Airport joins the global trend of offering luxury rest areas within terminals, elevating the experience for travelers seeking respite between flights or during long layovers.
Without a doubt, a practical, safe, and comfortable alternative that transforms the way you wait at one of the busiest airports in the United States.
