Delivery of regulated products updated: delays and updates to the Basic Food Basket

Distribution of the basic food basket in Cuba: Update for some provinces this week, according to official information from the Ministry of National Statistics and Census (MINCIN). This week, the distribution of basic food baskets in Cuba continues to advance in several provinces, despite delays reported in some areas.

In Villa Clara, according to reported Dalgis Corcho Oropesa, director of the Wholesale Food Company, began delivering rice to the municipalities of Placetas, Santo Domingo, Manicaragua, and Sagua la Grande.

Each consumer will receive four pounds of rice, one for June and three for July. Distribution to the rest of the municipalities will take place in the coming days, once the rice harvest from the port of Cienfuegos is complete.

In the same province, the quarterly distribution of liquid detergent continues, following priority criteria established by the local government.

Regarding laundry and toilet soap, it has been distributed to children up to 1 year old, as well as to bedridden or incontinent individuals, with some municipalities pending, such as Corralillo, Quemado, Sagua, and Manicaragua.

In Pinar del Río, the delivery of rationed products also continues this week. Four pounds of rice corresponding to the month of July are being distributed to 278 of the province's 628 warehouses.

In addition, a pound of sugar corresponding to September is being distributed in 616 units, milk for children ages 0 to 1 for 10 days in September in 452 warehouses, and fish for medical diets in 568 units.

In Havana, distribution focuses on horse mackerel for medical diets, covering the months of September, October, and November. The second delivery of powdered milk for children and diets also began on September 30th, with specific quantities for babies ages 0 to 2 years old, according to the established nutritional plan.

Meanwhile, in Holguín, the Base Business Unit #6 reported that the La Cuaba People's Council received sausages for the population and special products for pregnant women's diets.

The distribution of basic food baskets in all these provinces reflects the continuity of regulated supplies, although logistical challenges and multiple delays persist in some areas.

  2. I'm from San Miguel del Padrón, in the Martin Perez district. The only thing that came into the warehouse was peas. When will the donated white sugar come in?
